With over 20 years studying the psychological, sociological, and biological factors influencing mental health, and more than a decade working in youth and adult education, she brings a deep understanding of human behaviour to her practice. Julie’s extensive training in trauma treatment, cultural responsiveness, crisis intervention, and goal setting allows her to support diverse client needs through holistic, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care. She integrates psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive-behavioural, and somatic therapies within a client-centred, compassionate approach, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space for positive change.
"I work to help adults move from emotional overwhelm to a place of inner calm and self-trust through compassionate, trauma-informed support. You may have spent years trying to hold everything together for everyone else. On the outside, you appear strong and capable, yet inside you might feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. You don’t need to be your most confident or put-together self to be worthy of care. Recognising and healing emotional wounds helps to release you from old patterns and embrace new possibilities for a life filled with greater happiness and meaning. When life feels heavy, therapy can help you ease the load, explore steps toward positive change, and bring fresh perspective to your experiences. If you’d like to learn more about how we might work together, I invite you to book a
Free 15-minute consultation."
